5 Reasons Why You’re Not Getting Leaner – No Nonsense Approach

1) You’re Impatient and lack consistency

It takes time and consistent hard work to get into shape….any one who tells you otherwise is lying to you

Just because you did 2 weeks at the gym and cut back from drinking 10 pints to 5 pints over the weekend doesn’t mean you’re going to have abs popping through your Ralph Lauren polo.

Set yourself a 12 week target to work towards and establish the real motive behind your actions. Once you truly know why you want to change it will drive you to hit the gym and follow your diet more consistently, especially when you’re lacking motivation.

2) You play the blame Game

“I can’t lose fat because of my metabolism”

“I’ve got shit genetics”

“I don’t have the time to train”

Or my favourite…..

“I’m big boned”

Get the fuck out of victim mode. No one cares about you’re dog shit excuses
You’re responsible of your own actions so act accordingly.

Do you release how lucky you are to be able bodied and possess the ability to change your physique?

3) You’ve gone Stale

You’ve been following the same diet plan and training plans for ages and although you saw some initial results, things have slowed down and you’ve plateaued

Listen, as you’re body changes so does the need for your training and especially diet plan

If you want to carry on shredding fat, you need to optimise and make necessary changes especially with the amount of calories you’re consuming.

Track your calories with the myfitnesspal app to help monitor your progress.

4) Your technique is terrible

Stop trying to impress your mate by lifting weights which you cannot execute with good form. Drop your ego, drop the weight down and focus on feeling the target muscle work.

Once you’re able to properly contract the muscle then you will see some fantastic changes to your physique.

5) You’re a Greedy Pig

You’re eating too many calories pal, put the cookie down and get real with yourself.

To get lean you must create an energy deficit. This can be done by simply eating less calories than you’re body requires for energy.

Start by cutting back on the slutty foods, refined sugars and processed bullshit.

You don’t have to eat 6 portions of chicken and asparagus a day.

Start by making small sustainable changes and over time you’re relationship with food will improve and so will your waist line.
